The idea
La Maison du Cinéma entrusted us with a thrilling task: crafting a teaser for their Japanese movie selection night, featuring themes of food, drama, and horror. In shaping the art direction, our goal was to immerse viewers in an eerie, shadowy atmosphere, where an ominous presence lurked just beyond sight, eluding identification. To achieve this, we seamlessly integrated 3D techniques with hand-drawn textures, adding an extra layer of intricate detail to our creation.
The process
Our wellspring of inspiration flows directly from the world of horror movies, seamlessly blending elements of unsettling intrigue with artistic finesse. We employ a fusion of graphic techniques, seamlessly weaving handcrafted textures into a fully immersive 3D environment. The result? A simple teaser that expertly sets the tone for the upcoming event, leaving audiences captivated by the theme.
